i wanted to be a little survivor but all that i have is a constant reminder that if you can leave then how can you love me? and so i go on so it goes on i wanted to hold this feeling forever but now that you're gone it's fading away and if you can leave me here alone how can you that you love me? and so i go on...

i founded a faith i built it on modern fables the stories were true they just didn't make much sense the reminder that's been forgotten in the hope that we need not know we dissolved in our own solution all the promises we made long ago i founded a faith you called it a false religion i said you were right it's nothing to do with god it's the novel that won't be written it's the letter that no-one sends it's the jury without decision when we've already reached the end, because this machine can barely function under the weight of rocks and bones but we can continue making progress if we never know i founded a faith you said it was raw and foolish but left all alone you gave in and joined the throng you embraced all the sweet delusions let your constant reminder go the result's a foregone conclusion and your countenance tells us so, now listen this machine can barely function from running around the neighbour's bend but there's nothing to stop us making progress if we just pretend, come on let's pretend (modern fables, they tell the truth of anyone)

recovery 03:42
everyone wants recovery fitting it like an open wing i don't wanna talk about it now night comes down the details slip cover your hands just wait and sit i don't wanna think about it now with a little practise you could be a hero full score or nothing everyone wants an open wing shelter to hide and heal again i don't wanna think about it now the shadows will fall in retrograde keeping you safe from no-one i don't wanna live without you now with a little practise you could be a hero full score or nothing you could be my hero my hero coming out of the shade i won't doubt any more novelty won't erase what is carved inside the heart is where you hide with a little practise you could be a hero full score or nothing you could be my hero with a little practise you could be a hero full score or nothing

why won't you take me out i am more than willing to leave i won't wear anything but my heart on my sleeve all you wanted is all i need don't talk to me like i'm one of your cynical peers talk to me like a lover you'll wear me out with your subtle defences my dear one day you will crossed wire and foiled ire is the house that we live in all so anaesthetised we don't feel the cold begin no bowing out the audit is far from unclear all you wanted is all i need don't talk to me like i'm one of your cynical peers talk to me like a lover you'll wear me out with your subtle defences my dear one day you will let me open the weir you'll be calm down here don't talk to me like i'm one of your cynical peers talk to me like a lover you'll wear me out with your subtle defences my dear one day you will talk to me like a lover no bowing out now the audit reads too fucking clear one day you will

i've got fifteen different skins most are thick but some are thin everything is coming to a halt six to wear with perfect ease aces tucked inside each sleeve everything is coming to a halt come on lead the way now concentration keeps you rich but you need more money to cut that itch everything is coming to a halt temporise to buy more time and the cheek to slip your hand in mine everything is coming to a halt come on lead the way now come on lead the way now come on lead the way we've big pockets to keep you in but until you leave we won't begin everything is coming to a halt all impatience slows you down but you feed your hunger for nothing everything is coming to a halt come on lead the way now come on lead the way now come on lead the way

sooner or later you're going to find you've been left out on your own where nothing quite fits and the little critic keeps your case at home you've gotta take a look at yourself a little luxury really take a look at yourself did you give it all you had? i'm sorry's no good for me your story's all make-believe it's only the wish you wish you had one of these days you'll admit you should have kept your contacts close there's nothing like fickle alliances to release your friends from foes you've gotta take a look at yourself a little luxury really take a look at yourself did you give it all you had? i'm sorry's no good for me your story's all make-believe it's only the wish you wish you had you've gotta take a look at yourself a little luxury really start to see yourself did you give it all you had? i'm sorry's no good for me your story's all make-believe it's only the wish you wish you had
