lyrics
there's nothing to it
we'll sail through it
we'll lock arms
we'll burn cars
if it comes to it
we'll drive onwards
we'll not cower
it's in our grasp
stand steadfast
and we draw power
and we're here tonight
standing in the rain
if you'll hold your fire
long enough to hear
we'll be one again
and we'll heal tonight
over your shoulder
we crept close
no more jokes
no blind hoax
we've grown older
and we see light
and we heal
and we heal tonight
as we're standing in the rain
if you hold your fire
long enough to hear
we'll be one again
and we'll heal tonight
holding vigil in the rain
if you'll hold your fire
hold your tongue
hold your tithe
stop your emissary line
sending words that we can't use any more
hollow prose
won't disguise
shifting enemy lines
accountability is gold
and we heal tonight
as we're standing in the rain
if you hold your fire
long enough to hear
we'll be one again
and we'll heal tonight
holding vigil in the rain
if you'll hold your fire
go on hold your fire
we can heal

Powerful vocals and affecting lyrics, this is magnificent stuff. Thank you for sharing your art with us Reb!
Clearly, I am late to the party, but happy to be here now and will listen quietly from my corner so as not to break the spell. theUtmost
If Suzanne Vega started this decade she might have sounded like this, good acoustic guitar song observations with a novelistic eye, and a support band that embellishes but never overpowers the music. Found this artist only this year thanks to a Milk Records compilation, which proves they work. Favourite track: "How Much", simply superb, but also check "Sparklers" and "Kore Waits in the Underworld". agutterfan
